carte croisiere corse Catlante

In the south of the Isle of Beauty lies a coastline where elegance blends with unspoilt nature. From Porto-Vecchio to Bonifacio, over the decades this coastline has become one of the most beautiful destinations in the Mediterranean. Legendary beaches, secluded anchorages, charming villages, boutique hotels and villas discreetly nestled in the maquis combine to create a unique landscape, where the Corsican way of life comes to the fore so naturally.
But this cruise is not limited to the most famous spots. It also takes you to secluded coves, nature reserves and wild bays accessible almost exclusively by sea. Each day alternates between iconic landscapes and more hidden stops, offering a comprehensive exploration of this exceptional coastline.
From Cacalu to Porto-Vecchio, from the lagoons of Santa Giulia to the Lavezzi Islands, from the cliffs of Bonifacio to the Lion of Roccapina, this week reveals every facet of what many consider to be the Corsican Riviera: a coastline where the Mediterranean, nature and elegance coexist in perfect harmony.

  • Day 2 : Cacalu – Anse d'Arbitru – Île Piana

jour2 corse plage santa giulia Catlante

After waking up to the tranquillity of Cacalu Bay, your catamaran sets sail for Anse d’Arbitru. Accessible almost exclusively by sea, this magnificent cove is one of those places that yachtsmen pass down from generation to generation. Surrounded by maquis, bordered by a beach of fine white sand and lapped by crystal-clear waters, it offers an idyllic setting for swimming. Lunch is served whilst at anchor, with this unspoilt scenery before you.
In the afternoon, a short sail takes you to Île Piana. Situated off the Corsican coast, this small uninhabited islet is a true paradise for snorkelling enthusiasts. The seabed here is remarkably clear, and the tranquillity of the surroundings invites you to make the most of this first day of exploration.
The evening and night are spent at anchor, in the peaceful atmosphere of the far south of Corsica.

  • Day 3 : Piana Island – Rondinara – Santa Giulia

jour3 corse port de porto vecchio Catlante

After breakfast, your catamaran sets sail for Rondinara. With its almost perfectly circular bay, pristine sand and waters in a thousand shades of blue, this beach is one of the most photographed in Corsica. From the anchorage, you can fully enjoy this exceptional setting before lunch is served on board.
In the afternoon, the voyage continues to Santa Giulia, a veritable lagoon with shallow waters, bordered by a long white sandy beach. Regularly ranked amongst Europe’s most beautiful beaches, it offers the ideal setting for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding or simply enjoying the view of this landscape that has become emblematic of Southern Corsica.
The evening continues at anchor off Santa Giulia, once the beach has regained its tranquillity. Depending on sailing conditions, the night may also be spent in the superb bay of Porto Novo, another jewel of this exceptional coastline.

  • Day 4 : Santa Giulia – Palombaggia – Porto-Vecchio – San Ciprianu

    jour4 corse palombaggia Catlante

In the morning, a short sail takes you to Palombaggia, undoubtedly Corsica’s most iconic beach. Its white sand, famous umbrella pines and waters in incredible shades of blue combine to create one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic landscapes. Anchoring here allows you to enjoy it to the full, far from the hustle and bustle of the shore.
In the early afternoon, set sail for Porto-Vecchio. A former Genoese city that has become one of the most elegant destinations in the Mediterranean, the town charms visitors with its cobbled streets, designer boutiques, art galleries and lively terraces. Take the time to explore the old town at your own pace and soak up its unique atmosphere.
At the end of the day, your catamaran heads for San Ciprianu. This vast bay, bordered by a magnificent beach of fine white sand and villas discreetly nestled amongst the vegetation, offers a peaceful anchorage for the night. The sun sets slowly over this exceptional coastline, bringing to a close a day marked by elegance and the gentle Corsican way of life.

  • Day 5 : San Ciprianu – Cerbicales Islands – Cavallo – Bonifacio

    jour5 corse santa giulia Catlante

After breakfast, your catamaran will sail along the Cerbicale Islands. Designated a nature reserve, this unspoilt archipelago is home to marine wildlife and numerous species of birds that find refuge on these wild islets. A scenic cruise allows you to appreciate all its beauty, exclusively from the sea.
At lunchtime, the boat will head for the island of Cavallo. The only inhabited island in the Lavezzi archipelago, Cavallo has always exuded a discreet elegance. Its villas, perfectly integrated into the landscape, seem to blend into the granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation. Lunch is served whilst at anchor, in an ideal setting for a swim in remarkably clear waters.
In the middle of the afternoon, we set course for Bonifacio. Arriving by sea is an unforgettable spectacle. The impressive limestone cliffs loom on the horizon before revealing, almost by surprise, the narrow channel leading to the harbour, dominated by the houses of the citadel perched high above the sea.
You then have the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore Bonifacio at your own pace. Stroll through the cobbled streets of the upper town, admire the panoramic views of the cliffs, walk down the famous King of Aragon’s Staircase, or simply soak up the lively atmosphere on the harbour terraces.
You’ll spend the night moored at the quay, giving you the chance to fully savour the unique atmosphere of one of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful coastal towns.

  • Day 6 : Bonifacio – Roccapina or Cala Longa – Porto Pollo or Cupabia

jour6 corse falaises citadelle bonifacio Catlante

After leaving Bonifacio, your catamaran will sail along the impressive limestone cliffs of the far south of Corsica before reaching a wilder stretch of coastline, where the maquis slopes down to the sea.
Depending on sailing conditions, the first anchorage of the day is planned for Roccapina Bay or Cala Longa. On one side, a vast beach dominated by the famous Lion of Roccapina, whose silhouette seems to watch over the bay; on the other, a secluded cove nestled between the rocks and the maquis. Two stops with different atmospheres, but always chosen to offer the best sailing and anchorage conditions.
After lunch and a swim, the journey continues towards Porto Pollo or the magnificent Bay of Cupabia. Set between a lively little harbour and a vast beach bordered by rugged hills, this stop offers a glimpse of a more authentic Corsica, where nature still reigns supreme.

  • Day 7 : Porto Pollo or Cupabia – Cala d'Orzu – Gulf of Ajaccio

    jour7 corse catamaran Catlante

The day begins with a pleasant sail to Cala d’Orzu, one of the most beautiful coves on the Ajaccio coast. Sheltered by the maquis and fringed by a golden sandy beach, this bay has become a must-visit spot for yachtsmen.
Anchoring here allows you to make the most of this final day at sea. Swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, relaxing or a stroll along the beach set the pace for the morning, before lunch is served on board. Those who wish can also visit the famous Chez Francis beach bar, an iconic spot where sailors and lovers of Corsica have been gathering for decades.
In the afternoon, your captain will set course for the Gulf of Ajaccio. Depending on the day’s conditions, he may choose a final anchorage for a swim in one of the many coves that dot this magnificent coastline, before heading to the anchorage or quay where your cruise will come to an end.
As the sun gently sets over the Sanguinaires Islands, the final dinner is served on board. A lovely way to round off this week spent exploring some of Corsica’s most beautiful coastlines

FAQ

Catamaran cruises in Corsica are ideal from late May to late September. If you're afraid of the heat, choose June for the longest days of the year and mild temperatures, or September for lower temperatures and the still-warm summer sea.

Corsica's east coast is the most interesting. From the north to the south of the island, it offers a striking coastline, perfectly suited to sailboat cruising.

Cruising Corsica made easy

Corsica, nicknamed the Isle of Beauty, is an ideal destination for a catamaran cruise. Its wild coasts, hidden beaches and exceptional marine biodiversity make it a unique place. Sailing a catamaran allows you to discover these treasures in a different way, away from the crowds and as close to nature as possible.
With CATLANTE Catamarans, explore the must-sees of Southern Corsica:
-The Lavezzi Islands: real natural gems, ideal for snorkeling and swimming in turquoise waters.
-Bonifacio: admire its spectacular cliffs and stroll through its narrow streets steeped in history.
-Ajaccio: Napoleon's birthplace, a perfect blend of cultural heritage and Mediterranean ambience.

That's a tough question. The entire east coast of Corsica is splendid. If you prefer authenticity and rugged coastlines, choose the Haute-Corse cruise; if you want more beaches and less relief, opt for the Corse du Sud cruise. Or do both!

There's no place more beautiful than Corsica. Corsica is one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
