In the event of serious illness, serious accident or death of a member of your family, Xplorassur reimburses the cancellation fees charged up to €10,000 per person, with no excess.
Any other justified unforeseen event forcing the traveller to cancel their cruise may also be covered up to €10,000 per person. The excess will be calculated according to the price of the trip per person.
Your insurance contract also allows you to cancel your cruise without having to provide supporting documents.
In this case, 2 types of reimbursement are possible:
• Cash refund: an excess of 20% of the cancellation fees (minimum €50 per person) will be deducted.
• Refund as a voucher valid for 12 months: no excess deducted
Xplorassur compensates you up to a maximum of €150 in the event of a delay of more than 4 hours recorded at boarding or disembarkation (outward and/or return journey).
In the event of theft, damage or loss of your personal baggage during the cruise, Xplorassur can reimburse you in one of the following 2 ways:
• On presentation of supporting documents: up to €2,000 per person, less an excess of €45 per person
• Without supporting documents: flat-rate compensation of €150 per person, with no excess
To cover your urgent needs, Xplorassur pays for essential items if the delivery of your baggage is delayed by more than 24 hours.
• On presentation of supporting documents: up to €2,000 per person, excess of €45 per person
• Without supporting documents: flat-rate compensation of €150 per person, with no excess
If you are repatriated or have to return home early, Xplorassur reimburses the unused days of your cruise (excluding transport), with no excess.
In the event of weather events (storms, cyclones, natural disasters) occurring during more than half of the stay, or of rainfall of more than 6 hours a day (between 7am and 6pm) during more than half of the stay, Xplorassur compensates you with a voucher worth 5% of the price of the trip, to be used with CATLANTE.
If your state of health so requires, Mutuaide Assistance organises and pays for your repatriation to your home, whatever the cost.
Cover for medical expenses abroad is extended to €75,000 per person, with an excess of €30 per person.
If you are unable to return home because of an event beyond your control or that of the organiser or the carrier, Xplorassur pays for your ticket (maximum €1,000 per person) and your hotel costs (€150 per night per person, maximum 14 nights).
