In the Seychelles, white sand beaches sit alongside granite boulders, tropical forests reach down to the shore and every island has its own character. Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, Curieuse… Here, the sea does not separate the islands: it connects them. And that is precisely why a catamaran cruise makes so much sense.
With CATLANTE, you set off for a week of discovery in a small group, in a private cabin, with a professional crew and an all-inclusive package. No repacking at every stop, no ferries to book: your catamaran becomes your floating hotel.
Travelling with CATLANTE, quite simply
Up to 12 passengers on board, a captain and a sailor-cook, private cabins, meals and drinks included: for nearly 25 years, our business has been designing cabin cruises where everyone can make the most of their holiday.
You need neither a boating licence nor any sailing experience. You choose your cabin, your date and your level of comfort. The crew takes care of the sailing and life on board.
A Seychelles cruise to discover 8 islands in 8 days
Our Seychelles itinerary, departing from Mahé, combines the large granite islands with small protected islands. Sailing alternates with swimming, snorkelling and discoveries ashore.
Mahé, gateway to the archipelago
The largest island in the Seychelles sets the tone: green-clad mountains, palm-fringed bays and Seychellois life around Victoria. This is where your week at sea begins and ends.
Praslin, between beaches and primeval forest
On Praslin, pale sand beaches, including the famous Anse Lazio, sit alongside the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will discover the coco de mer, the astonishing endemic nut that has become one of the symbols of the Seychelles.
La Digue, the island that moves at the pace of bicycles
La Digue has few roads, and exploring the island by bike is a real pleasure. Anse Source d’Argent, with its polished granite boulders and white sand, is one of the most recognisable landscapes in the archipelago.
Curieuse, Saint-Pierre and the small islands
Curieuse is home to giant tortoises roaming free. Around the islet of Saint-Pierre, the rocks and the sea bed are ideal for snorkelling. Depending on the programme, other stops offer the chance to watch seabirds and enjoy anchorages far from the busiest beaches.
Three ranges of catamarans, one all-inclusive package
Confort, Élégance or Prestige: you choose the level of comfort and service that suits you. The CATLANTE philosophy stays the same: a professional crew, meals prepared on board, drinks included in the all-inclusive package and discovering the Seychelles from the sea. All our catamarans in the Seychelles have air conditioning from 6 pm to 10 pm, to cool the cabins for the night.
Confort · CATLANTE 600
The friendly atmosphere of a large catamaran designed for cabin cruising, with all the space you need to enjoy sailing and anchorages.
Élégance · CATLANTE 720
More space and comfort, a wider choice of drinks and still the friendly CATLANTE spirit.
Prestige · CATLANTE NEO
A more upmarket experience, with a new-generation catamaran, refined fittings and particular attention paid to comfort on board.
How much does a Seychelles cruise cost?
The Seychelles have a reputation as an expensive destination. The good news: for services as comparable as possible, an all-inclusive catamaran cruise is no more expensive than an island-hopping hotel stay! We did the maths, including not only the 7 hotel nights (2 on Mahé, 3 on Praslin and 2 on La Digue), but also meals, two cocktails a day, ferry crossings, taxis and a boat excursion.
| Level | Estimated hotel stay | CATLANTE, fees included |
|---|---|---|
| Confort | €2,000 | €2,180 |
| Élégance | €2,300 | €2,575 |
| Prestige | €2,860 | €3,050 |
Estimates per person for 7 nights, based on two adults sharing a room or cabin, excluding international flights. Indicative hotel budgets including meals, drinks, transfers and the Curieuse–Saint-Pierre excursion. Average CATLANTE prices, destination fees included; rates vary according to dates.
And the difference is not only about budget: in a hotel, getting from Mahé to Praslin, then to La Digue and back to Mahé means transfers, waiting and changing rooms – an estimated loss of one day of holiday. On board, sailing is part of the holiday. You enjoy the sunbathing areas, the scenery and the stops without having to organise every journey.
To make the comparison transparent, we have also prepared a detailed study of hotel budgets, with reference hotels and calculation assumptions, based on AI-assisted research.
How much does a week in the Seychelles cost: hotel or catamaran? (article in French)
When to go on a Seychelles cruise?
The Seychelles can be explored all year round, and CATLANTE sails there all year round. The tropical climate changes over the months: the transition periods between the trade winds are often appreciated for activities at sea, while the windier seasons offer a different sailing atmosphere.
Why discover the Seychelles by catamaran rather than from a hotel?
A hotel lets you enjoy one island at length. A catamaran gives you the freedom to discover several without changing accommodation. It takes you from one beach to another, from a village to a nature reserve, with the pleasure of living on the water. It is another way of travelling, particularly well suited to this archipelago scattered across the Indian Ocean.
